Welcome to Head over Heels, the independent travel guide to destinations worldwide. Are you tired of package holidays, boring hotels and guide books that only tell you half of the truth? This site is dedicated to backpackers and people that travel individually. There is nothing wrong with being a tourist but I like to consider myself a traveller; someone who explores places rather than just visiting them. I only recommend places I've actually been to and I will try to provide some insights and of course pictures. What you read is always an opinion. Please keep that in mind.

This site is a team effort. You will always know who exactly wrote the description of a particular place and of course you will be able to provide feedback. We invite you to share your experiences. If you want to contribute feel free to get in touch with us, send us your story or let us know your thoughts. The easiest way is to register a user account. You'll then be able to leave comments, submit links and also content. We are also implementing a little community builder, meaning you can get in touch with other users. That might come in handy when you need additional information.

We will start with Mexico; in the pipeline are Greece, Ireland, Laos and Thailand. It takes some time to collect all these information's and as much as I like travelling; now and then I actually have to work to finance these trips.
